Dad wanted to share this verse because he felt so moved and empowered by these words.

8 “But you, Israel, my servant,
Jacob, whom I have chosen,
you descendants of Abraham my friend,
9 I took you from the ends of the earth,
from its farthest corners I called you.
I said, ‘You are my servant’;
I have chosen you and have not rejected you.
10 So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

and springs within the valleys.
I will turn the desert into pools of water,
and the parched ground into springs.

A Prayer for the Ephesians

14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

God has an amazing plan for my dad. I know it. That’s why I have a prayer request knowing that God can do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, in that God can heal my dad before chemotherapy.

That way when my dad is healed, nothing can justify God’s great work in the healing of my dad. Not, chemo, science, mankind, technology, etc. but by the power of prayer and by God alone.

I believe that God is omnipotent and He has an amazing plan; greater than what we can expect.
